STAGEBOARD

Stageboard is designed to boost the pulse of the banks by spreading activity from Lent to Tabor bank. It interlinks with the existing urban tissue activity offering an easy way to bind the broken connection between two banks. By placing a “transversal bank” as a connection, starboard is offering a new view of the city not just by the criteria of perspective but also with the criteria of time spent on the bridge. The goal isn’t just to cross the bridge but stay/dwell on it.

It is taking into consideration the historical Lent and Tabor environment and is existing city elements to set a coulisse. With its “polite” form it supplements the city panorama existing bridges, not trying to create another competitive set to the old bridge. Stageboard stimulates activity as a key factor of improving the public space. Its main goal is to create a stage to complement the existing coulisse of the old bridge and old town.  It is encouraging urban potential exploitation.
